It’s connected to the Tennessee River so the lake is an absolute bass factory” says Miles, “It didn’t take long to get the first bite.” Joey and Miles head out to the lake with Miles’ most prized investment towed along by the trusted B&W Trailer Hitch. Check out some history of Andy Morgan and some of his incredible insight discussed in the show.

Andy Morgan, The GOAT

Hailing from Dayton, Tennessee, Andy Morgan has fished Lake Chickamauga more than just about anyone. Coming from humble beginnings, Andy has had incredible success in the fishing world. Regarded as one of the best anglers in the world with three titles, he has also accumulated 2.1 million in earnings and has the most top ten finishes in the FLW tour history. While fishing with Joey and Miles, Andy had some great advice to share. “Your talent is in your mind for sure. It’s way more in your mind than your physical ability. I think a lot of it is your mind being able to cut off the rest of the world while you’re in competition….. A lot of lessons are tough man, you get beat up and lose your money and can’t cash checks. Those are the lessons you don’t forget” says Andy Morgan as Joey and Miles listen intently to the legend himself offering up meaningful wisdom learned through years on the professional circuit.

I think it’s cool on how any given day there are a hundred different ways to catch a fish. It’s all about breaking it down and figuring it out.

“Locational” Fishing

Knowing the inside information of any body of water can definitely be a huge advantage while tournament fishing or just going out on the lake for fun. For example, while the guys were driving around Lake Chickamauga with Andy Morgan trying to find a spot, Andy stopped the boat and explained what was going on under the water. He explained how there used to be an old railroad bed running right underneath and created a huge mess of mud flowing from the Tennessee River. Fishing the mud beds proved to be very successful as within thirty seconds all three guys caught a fish. Locational fishing is everything with the proper knowledge of that body of water. Andy Morgan once again proved that catching fish is sometimes easier than it looks.

Andy Morgan is a known hammer on Lake Chickamauga.
