Richardson signed with a brand new production team that has brought stunning cinematography and a killer sound design to create an even more immersive experience with the highly rated series. Watch the season premiere below!
Not only is Flats Class returning, but fans will soon have EVEN MORE opportunity to learn from Richardson with the launch of his BRAND NEW PODCAST! Renowned for his extensive library of fishing strategy and technique as well as a gift and passion to teach others, Richardson will use the podcast to give his students a more versatile learning experience. The podcast debuts later this month on the Waypoint website and app and will be available anywhere you prefer to get podcasts.
To start off the new season of Flats Class, Richardson heads down to Charleston, SC to meet up with Capt. Jeremy Mehlhaff, a young, yet seasoned guide recommended to Richardson by the folks over at Zman, a frequent partner of Richardson’s. “He’s young, but he’s been a guide for a little more than a decade,” comments Richardson. He’s already excited to fish someplace new for this episode, because of the opportunity to be kept on his toes and learn new things. “Believe it or not,” says Richardson on the drive, “I, as the instructor, do learn something each and every time I go out on the water, especially if it’s a new zone.” That excitement is compounded with the opportunity to fish with a great, local guide such as Mehlhaff. “There is no knowledge like local knowledge,” Richardson remarks.
It’s an incredibly exciting time for viewers and for Richardson, who will continue to grow in his teaching as he explores new avenues to reach anglers eager to learn his ways. His humility and eagerness to remain a student is evident in these new directions he is taking his teaching.
The new season of Flats Class debuts on Waypoint Feb. 15th at 10 am EST, watch the first episode below! Be on the lookout for Richardson’s podcast, debuting this month on Waypoint and anywhere you get your podcasts.
