Waypoint TV Celebrates Women’s History Month
Austin, Texas –– The world’s leading entertainment destination for hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventure programming, Waypoint TV is celebrating Women’s History Month with a Women of Wilderness week-long programming event. Tune in Monday, March 13 through Thursday march 16 from 3 to 5 pm ET, and Friday, March 17 from 3 to 6 pm ET on the Waypoint TV app or website or tune in on Samsung TV Plus (Channel 1184), PLUTO TV, VIZIO WatchFree+ (Channel 630), LG (Channel 486), FuboTV, SLING, XUMO (Channel 718), and Local Now (Channel 2100) to catch these hardworking, talented, trailblazing female hunters and anglers changing the world.
Women have been embracing the outdoors for years in an effort to explore all of the exciting opportunities it holds while making valiant efforts in improving the wilderness and growing conservation efforts. These women in history who have served as barrier breakers have also cleared a trail for the outdoorswomen of the present. Today, the industry embraces women who are mentors, pros, and role models for other women looking to learn new skills. Waypoint TV will be highlighting the many talented female hunters, anglers, and women of the wilderness all week long in shows like Let’s Take it Outside with Misty Wells, Bean Sportfishing, Sportsman’s Journal, Gale Force Twins, Chasin’ the Sun, Life By the Bow, Blood Origins, and many more!
“I want to thank my mom for pushing me and encouraging me to break that mold of what was considered a man’s world and really get outside to enjoy hunting, fishing, and the outdoors as much as I do,” said Let’s Take it Outside host, Misty Wells. “I’m grateful to Waypoint TV for helping women like me celebrate the outdoors and showcase Let’s Take it Outside!”
“Waypoint is so fortunate to be able to work with many women producers who are dedicated to teaching and reminding us that our outdoor lifestyle is part of a much bigger picture,” says Stevie Barefield, Waypoint TV Director of Marketing. “It’s about education, conservation, enjoying the process, celebrating, sharing, and repeating. We’re excited to showcase some of the ladies that drive this concept home in our Women of Wilderness event this week.”
