Waypoint TV Honors Black History Month With Impactful Programming Lineup
Austin, Texas – The world’s leading entertainment destination for hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventure programming, Waypoint TV is celebrating Black History Month by highlighting African American hunters and anglers Monday, February 13 to Thursday, February 16 from 3 pm to 5 pm ET and Friday, February 17 from 3 pm to 6 pm ET on Samsung TV Plus (Channel 1184), PLUTO (Channel 2205), VIZIO WatchFree+ (Channel 630), LG (Channel 486), FuboTV, SLING, XUMO (Channel 718), and Local Now (Channel 2100) or on the Waypoint TV app or website.
While one month does not cover the breadth of Black History, it’s a reminder to engage in a year-round celebration and efforts to educate yourself and others. In honor of Black History Month and in support of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the outdoors, Waypoint TV will feature a lineup of programming with incredibly influential and talented African American hunters and anglers in Straight Up Fishing with Brian Latimer, Modern Fishing with Jared Jefferies, Lion’s Tales with Captain Lionel James, Project Upland: Hard Day Riding with Durrell Smith, OnX films “Dogmen”, and Blood Origins “Overtime - Corey Anderson.”
Take part in some amazing stories, history, memories, and lessons learned. In Blood Origins, “Overtime”, hear the story of Corey Anderson - his entire career in the UFC and as a hunter and how his success stemmed from his ethic of outworking everyone else. Join top Pro Circuit angler, Brian Latimer in Straight Up Fishing, as he uses his unique ability to educate and entertain while he makes major strides in growing the fishing industry. Additionally, explore the past, present, and future of African American dog handlers on quail plantations in the Deep South of Thomasville, Georgia through the eyes of an up-and-coming dog trainer, Durrell Smith, who is also an advocate for inclusion in the outdoors.
