Austin, Texas – November 10th, 2022 – The world’s leading entertainment destination for hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventure programming, Waypoint TV is celebrating Veterans Day with a three-hour Honor Our Heroes event on the Waypoint TV app or website or tune in on Samsung TV Plus (Channel 1184), PLUTO (Channel 2205), VIZIO (Channel 258), LG (Channel 486), SLING XUMO (Channel 718), and Local Now (Channel 2100).

A message from Builder Brock, CEO, Waypoint TV:

Veterans Day is one we hold close to us at Waypoint. While these heroes are on our minds throughout the year, November 11th is a special day to honor and thank those who have served and who are currently serving in the military.

We are fortunate enough to work with many producers and partners who are Veterans. They’ve produced shows, films, and podcasts centered around the outdoors. But this content has a much deeper meaning. Hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation have been healing and therapeutic outlets for many of our heroes and we’re happy we can be a small part of that.

This Friday from 8-11 pm ET, we invite you to join us for a three-hour Honor Our Heroes event on Waypoint TV, which will include series that are Veteran hosted or have veteran special guests like Saltwater Experience, The Direction, American Heroes Outdoors, The Given Right, The Bearded Buck, Reel Animals, and Primal Divide. You can also check out some great Veteran-hosted podcasts on our Podcast Network like Veteran Life Outdoors, Hunt Lift Eat, and Salty Hunter.

In addition to tuning in to this event and listening to the podcasts, we also encourage you to take part in the many ways to thank Veterans. Here are some ideas:

•   Help introduce a Veteran to hunting and fishing – There are a variety of nonprofits that can help with this, including HAVA and Freedom Hunters. American Heroes Outdoors Television also has a list of partner organizations that provide outdoor adventures to veterans.

•   Consider donating to or volunteering with organizations that help families of veterans through scholarships and restoring independence, like Folds of Honor and the Gary Sinise Foundation.

•   Write Thank You letters to Veterans - This is a great way to get your kids involved. There are many resources like Soldiers’ Angels and A Million Thanks that can help with this.

•   Research your local Veterans Day events - Simply being present and engaged at a parade or banquet and asking veterans about their service can go a long way.

•   Share Veterans Day discounts to your social media pages - military.com has compiled a list of restaurant, retail, and travel discounts.

•   Support Veteran-owned businesses.

•   Fly the American flag - If you’re not sure how to properly do this, this is a great resource to help.

We hope you’ll join us this Friday, November 11th from 8-11 pm ET, in honoring and thanking the brave men and women who protect our freedom and our lives.

Sincerely,

Builder Brock

CEO, Waypoint TV
