Waypoint TV Celebrates National Military Podcast Day by Highlighting Veteran Run Podcasts on Podcast Network

Austin, Texas – October 5th, 2022 – The world’s leading entertainment destination for hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventure programming, Waypoint TV is celebrating National Military Podcast Day by highlighting our veteran run podcasts on the Waypoint TV Podcast Network. Veteran Life Outdoors, hosted by Skyler Evans, Hunt Lift Eat, hosted by Luke Cox, and The Slaty Hunter, hosted by Gary Weaver, are three incredible podcasts hosted by Army veterans.

The goal of National Military Podcast Day is to honor the stories and experiences of ex-military men and women as well as acknowledge their endurance, bravery, and survival. The healing power of talking was of the driving forces behind the creation of this holiday.

The Slaty Hunter Podcast is an Alaska based podcast that offers honest opinions on various subjects, discussions, and debates on all outdoor activities. Whether it is fishing, hunting, backpacking, ultrarunning, or any other outdoor topics these viewpoints and opinions are straightforward and deeply honest. With a unique blend of perspectives, you will appreciate the curiosity that leads this podcast to be intriguing and entertaining.

“The podcast is everything outdoors. From hunting to fishing, skiing to running I want to hear about your adventures. My partnership with Waypoint has been nothing but good. Good people that have helped grow my podcast audience. I was in the Army Infantry for nearly 5 years. Stationed at Ft. Benning, GA & Ft. Richardson, AK. Deployed to Afghanistan September 2017 - June 2018” said host, creator, and founder of The Salty Hunter Podcast, Gary Weaver.

The Hunt Lift Eat Podcast is the common man’s approach to hunting, fitness and nutrition mixed with lessons learned from military and professional experience, that is dedicated to educating and inspiring folks to pursue an active lifestyle in the outdoors that is centered around training, hunting, and fishing. Host Luke Cox enrolled in an MBA program while in Afghanistan, but quickly dropped out and decided that the best way to learn business was by jumping in feet first.  After deployment, Luke taught himself to embroider deigns he made on PowerPoint, he sold them to friends, family, and folks on the internet. With the help and support of his wife, the Hunt Lift Eat brand grew into what it is today.

Hunt Lift Eat is continuing to build a community of outdoor enthusiasts committed to living an active, healthy, lifestyle who positively influence the outdoor community.  As hunters and angler, this community must strive to positively represent out lifestyle to the American public.

Finally,  Veterans Outdoors Podcast is part of the Veteran Life Outdoors Foundation which is a veteran based non-profit dedicated to connecting veterans with the outdoors through media content and easily accessible resources. This podcast covers multiple categories pertaining to veterans from, VA benefits, using your VA rating to hunt out of state, as well as in state benefits, and hunting and fishing. They also take a deeper dive into non-profits that help veterans and get the stories of how the outdoors has helped with healing both mentally and spiritually from veterans that enjoy the outdoors.

"As the Waypoint Podcast Network continues to grow, it's important we recognize our podcasters. We are honored to have several veteran produced podcasts apart of the network, and love to see the veteran community getting the support they deserve" said Waypoint TV Business Development Executive, Zach Rollins.
