Tom Rowland Podcast 10,000 Pushup Challenge 2022

Some issues are so large that they seem to be insurmountable, causing us to give up or worse, simply ignore them. The issue of Florida’s water quality can tend to go down this path. But with so much at stake from public health to the long-term effects on our ecosystem, we cannot afford to simply ignore these issues any longer. That is why it is important to find any and every small impact that we can have in order to effect a larger change.

Tom Rowland’s solution? Band people together from all over the country to focus their efforts and raise awareness of these critical issues. He calls it “The 10K Pushup Challenge”.

“The 10,000 Pushup Challenge isn’t new, but this year, it has evolved into something bigger. I am honored to be part of a movement to educate and advance conservation priorities,” says Waypoint TV CEO Builder Brock, who will be taking part himself.

The 10,000 Pushup Challenge begins February 1st and runs through the end of the month, hoping to reach 1 million pushups total. One million pushups may sound like a lot, which is why the 2022 installment of the challenge is a team event. Tom and CFCW encourage participants to band together to reach the goal, with hopes of inspiring people to see how individuals are able to make an even greater impact by working as a team. “We invite everyone to join this movement of passion-driven people working together to achieve something great. By joining the Pushup Challenge, you get to commit yourself physically, but you also get the opportunity to be part of a passionate community that is actively protecting our waters and wild places. Fitness and conservation go hand-in-hand. Let’s go!” says Downs, Director of Education & Awareness at Captains for Clean Water.

Participants can keep track of their pushups however they’d like, but Tom suggests that the best way is a spreadsheet, and for those who are interested, you can learn more on the Tom Rowland Podcast at waypointtv.com and sign up at tomrowlandpodcast.com/pushups
